Chilsag Theatre Company, founded in March 2003 and based in India, is an internationally acclaimed theatre company recognized for its powerful storytelling, global reach, and commitment to socially relevant content. Over the last 22 years, Chilsag has emerged as a force in world theatre, delivering over 300 performances across major cultural hubs including New York (Off-Broadway), London, Toronto, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Boston, and West Virginia.
The company has staged three successful Off-Broadway shows in New York, earning international praise for its bold and engaging narratives. Known for presenting meaningful content that sparks conversation, Chilsag’s productions often center on pressing social issues, aiming to inspire reflection, change, and awareness through the medium of theatre.
Led by Natya Bhushan Awardee Sachin Gupta, Chilsag has developed and produced 18 original plays, blending creative innovation with a strong moral compass. The company brings together talent from around the world, having collaborated with artists from over 20 nationalities, enriching its productions with cross-cultural depth and authenticity.
Over the past two decades, more than 1,000 actors have been part of Chilsag’s productions, many of whom have gone on to successful careers across theatre, television, and film industries globally.
